I figure it’s a testament to the versatility of Lego. Fireproof and the possibilities are endless. Even allows for ventilation to prevent overheating:lol:

Omg i am totally using legos for it lol we have thousands! My husband has all of his from when he was a kid plus our kids get them every year for Christmas. Its a tradition at this point lol

A few more pics to give you some ideas.

the full set up. 2 side door hatches - one for adding water and the other for taking chicks out when they hatch (you don’t have to but I prefer to especially when it gets too crowded after they hatch and kick the rest of the eggs around). One for the water/heat source and the other where the eggs reside. Glass viewing chamber on top. And lego thermostat. There’s 2 left in there. Not sure if they will hatch. The other 8 have hatched already.

see the 3 holes up top? That’s where air is siphoned into the unit - drawn by the fan. So the idea is for cold air to move into the unit. The unit isn’t exactly airtight so there will be other seepage entry points.

so the air gets sucked in over the top
and into this chamber where it gets heated/humidified and then gets forced out the bottom of the wall where the fan is (see next pic). Initially there was only the container with the blue water (I added a drop of food colouring to the water so I could easily see water levels - it’s a bit hard to see when the water is clear). I added the second container at lockdown. When you have to increase the humidity levels in preparation for the hatch.

So hot humid air gets blown out over the eggs.

I hope this helps gives you ideas. There are lots of different ones out there. Have fun putting yours together! :)
