Homemade Mayonnaise, Yes or No?

The thread about raw cookie batter is similar to this one but the seemingly never ending discussion at our house is about making our own mayonnaise. We go through a lot of mayo and my husband thinks we should be making it ourselves. Our store purchased mayo says it contains egg yolks but I "think" they must be somehow cooked. Does anyone make their own mayonnaise? Thoughts?
 
I do...and it's way better than store-bought! Only "drawback" is that there are no preservatives, so fridge life is limited. I use sunflower oil and my own pastured eggs (of course). I use this recipe - so simple and easy with an immersion blender!
