Homemade winecooler incubator

I put my vents in the box near the bottom to help hold in the heat in the box. Now I have to figure out how to put the egg turners in with their cords so they dont get entangled with the other shelves

Well I got up this morning, at about 7:30 it had only used a 1/8th of the water in the bottle, and I finally got my tempature dialed in at 100 solid. I have three thermometers in their to compare to one another and two of them have been used in other incubators as well. So when I got home from work about 5:30 pm I loaded a tray with some eggs I collected from the yard. Some of the eggs are from a couple of Hens who have been only laying for about 2 weeks. I have a total of 15 eggs. So some of them might not be fertle. But I will candle them in about 10 days and check.

I think it was just a big space to heat up plus trying to calibrate the temp controller. But I think it is finally stable.

Where did you get the humidity controller from?? I have been looking for one like that!

i found it on ebay under humidity controller. its pretty simple to set up. the temp one is on ebay as well, once the box got to a stable temp, I then calibrated it to a known good thermometer. which was easily set in the set up, took about 5 min to set it up. but the trick was to get the box to the temp and then see what the other known thermo was showing, then adjust the temp gauge to what the other thermo was reading. now I have three that show the same reading, so I feel pretty good that the temp is right. My Humidity is with in one point of the three I have in there as well.

Uhg, all I can find are 220s and I need 110v.

Just send the seller a message and tell them you need a 110 volt unit. They have both on most of the auctions I have seen. The Humidity one was really easy to set up. Since I have had it set up and running both my temp and humidity have been very solid.I set the humidity up to hold at 40 with a difference of 3 points it doesnt cycle very often. The temp is set at 100 and turns back on at 99 so it holds very nicely

I have one of the thermostats and love it, keeps temps great. I finally found a 110v hygrostat (and wow, these are not cheep!) in Canada. I had asked a few and kept being told they only had 220v. But it is on its way - I also found PC fans (4 pin) for only $1.95 each with free shipping! Had to order a couple, LOL.

Ours is set up and running with close to 80 eggs in it now. Its been running since the 28th of August. I will probably change the setup for keeping my humidity though. The zoomed fogger puts out a cool mist, I was thinking of a steam unit where it would put out a hotter form and wouldnt cause my temp to drop when it kicks on.

I have a fogger on the way, but it is an ultra sonic type that sets in the water in the bator.

yea its an ultrasonic type, but it has a nice hose that is flexible to be mounted to the side of the cabinet. Do you have pics of your set up.
