HI we are a homeschool family from Florida :) We have 4 kids ages 9,7, 2,1 We are new to chickens and are starting our flock. We just got four americauna chicks from TSC the other day. They will be our long term project, we have talked about life cycle, and care so far. Now we are learning about stages of growth and parts of a chicken, theories/educated guesses of which will be hens or roos, ect. We are raising for eggs so hoping none are roos lol I found the forums through searches for information :) and am so happy to be here. Here is a pic of our little chicks

That's kind of funny...we used to live in Florida and moved to Wyoming! We may have passed each other on the highway at some point. :lol:

Enjoy the chicks and take lots of pictures, they grow quickly!

What a small world, ay?? I live about 3.5 hours from Billings, near Helena. I was born and raised and love it here. Although, I'm over the -30 temps...and I think mother nature is finally giving us a break. Supposed to be up to 30 above today! T-shirt weather, ahaha.

That is quite a jump from Montana to Florida!
