It can be lonely during the day,but I say don't limit to the hs groups. Your kids will meet others from private/public schools all over.Be open to them.Be open to the familes that are using online public schools. I noticed a lot of those families get bumped from hs groups, because they are not *really* homeschooling. I say be open to everyone and drop those you don't click with.
My kids are in private and I hope to get them onto an online school.I am still part of the hs groups.I know that families may or may not like us,but I hope it will be for *us* and not our schooling choice. I can accept though that many will choose simply based on religion and/or schooling choice. It is their right.Just hope we find out early on so the kids don't become attached to families that dis us!
Our one homeschooling group accept all families regardless of religion and schooling choice, but it was the norm to hear prayers and stuff since the majority were of a certain religion.
Best wishes for you!
