Honesty time people....

6- black copper marans- in the bathroom. They are Carolina chicks, they can't do snow. At least, that is what I told hubby when I put them in the bathroom instead of the barn.

I'm waiting for it to get warmer so I don't *have* to have them in the house. Chickens are nice, but I do prefer anything that makes that much manure to be either outside, or cleaned, plucked, and on my plate XD

OK. This looks like fun... in my 'apartment' above my garage I have: 1 grown hen, convalescing, 2 juveniles, and 28 chicks. AND I managed to cram 27 eggs into my Brinsea last night

My name is Jen
I am addicted to fuzzybutts
In my office off my bedroom I have:
7 six week old coturnix quail
8 3 week old corutnix quail
1 6 week old btw jap
2 3 week old btw jap
3 3 week old buckeye bantam
30 day old buckeye large fowl chicks
6 two day old frizzle/mottled/barred japs

Even though I live in Florida, it is still too cold to put the little guys outside. We don't have power in our barn yet, and I don't want to run extension cords that far. So no heat lamps outside, and it has been getting down to freezing many nights lately. That's my excuse, honest.

In the living room: 17 GLW/Phoenix mutts that are six weeks old (gonna keep 10 of them to fill out the flock)
In the spare bedroom: 20 more that are two weeks old (might keep some)
In the kitchen: 42 in the 'bator, due to commence hatch in 1 week
In the hall: 15 eggs waiting for next 'bator run
In the yard: 12 hens and two roos, providing more eggs for next run

I can stop anytime. Really.

the incubators have 35 quail eggs and about 40 chicken eggs, I didn't count.

No chicks but I have had the entire family out back building the coop for the last few days. i expect some resistance from the Mrs. when it comes to chicks in the house. By the time we get to that issue she will be ready to surrender. Everyone is acting like they can't use their arms and legs now. can't imagine why;)
