Honey + Thieves/OnGuard worked to Naturally Cure Terrible Respiratory Illness, Cough, & Sneezing

Some other reliable brands of essential oils are Young Living and Mountain Rose Herbs.
I have always felt that one reason we don't see more validating studies of the effectiveness of herbs is that there is no money in it for the big corporations.
Oregano oil is used as an anti-inflammatory and an antibiotic, especially good on respiratory issues.
There is research being done on herbal remedies to replace antibiotics in particular.
Even the big corporations and the egg industry have come to realise that tipping antibiotics down everything that has the slightest sniffle, or off day is no longer viable.
I can't see antibiotics as being a bad thing; it's just they have been misused.
I have in the past and would still use them but on the advice of a vet only.

As far as I can tell, there is plenty of money in sales of essential oils through naturopathic doctors and companies. And they don’t have to follow the very expensive rigorous studies required for FDA approval.

Big companies don’t go too much into natural remedies because they generally can’t be patented and have to be used ingredient by ingredient in preclinical and clinical studies proving them both safe and effective.

True; too many variables in natural products.

I've loved this thread so far. I'm going to give this recipe to my hen that's sneezing and coughing. :clap I'm wondering if I can add colloidal silver to that mix too?
I have MUCH faith in natural products. I feel that's the difference in a treatment working or not. It sounds hokey pokey but if people can cure themselves of cancer without the nasty treatments AND because they set their whole focus and mind into consistent practice of seeing themselves as healthy, than intention can have alot to do with what we make and how we make it. That's how I feel, and I'm always open to the views of others. :thumbsup
