It's okay dear, people are in no manner perfect. No matter who it was that left it open, you held her and tended to her from beginning to the end. I have made mistakes too- one recently near cost me one of my favorite roosters. I thought my error was going to be his end. I am sorry for this other lost, and send best wishes your way. I'm so sorry you lost your girls. It is really difficult. I lost a hand raised pullet at 8 weeks and I too felt responsible. I was devastated. So much so that I couldn't even bring myself post it here. I cried so much. Your markers are so beautiful. I just love them. I think I make one in memory of my Lily even though there were no remains to bury. I'm so sorry. I know how much it hurts.
