hoodwinked?

Caveat emptor, how true.SS said to come in and we'll "work" something out.I've already found her some more females and am a bit discouraged to have 6 I don't need to raise or will have no purpose for but as I said there is no sense in not raising them.
Thanks for everyones input and if you need 6 Golden Comet cockerels let me know.

Just a thought before blaming the store. Here in Syracuse, the store is selling "unsexed" chicks and ducks. I know my Barred rocks and I could swear there are more roos than pullets. They did have "tetra tints" that I was told were all pullets and got these for a friend. They were all white like the Dels that I hatched.

However,, my point not to blame the store is due to them not having a say as to what they get. They are at the mercy of the hatchery and Lord only knows who's putting the pack together and what they grab.

The staff in the stores simply don't know their chicks. Then customers come in claiming to know and pass off bad info to the staff who then use it to tell other customers what's what.

Hoodwinked or not I doubt it was intentional. You've simply got to be careful when dealing with these chick mills. Unless of course you order directly from the hatchery.

I don't know anything about Southern States, but my experience with TSC is that chicks are frequently labeled improperly. Those chicks may be leghorns, Cornish X, white rocks or indeed sex link cockerels. Chick sales at these stores are a gimmick to encourage the purchase of poultry supplies - it is surely a case of 'caveat emptor'.

They look a bit darker on film but here are the chicks in question. My thoughts they would be darker, perhaps they could be females. I'm not color blind but the white tipped wings seemed too white. I'm hoping I just don't know what I'm talking about.
Thanks to all who have offered their thoughts

From the way the pictures look on my screen, they could be female red sex links, some of the crosses the female down color is a lot lighter but is still buff/reddish.

Thanks and we'll see what happens in a couple more weeks.
