The small female was about halfway to the den when she smelled a fresh kill, her stomach growled. She wasn't the best hunter, the only thing a coyote her size could kill was rabbits and she could never bring herself to kill them. They were her friends. She was dreadfully thin because of this and automatically veered toward the smell of fresh killed deer.
