Crystal sighed. She didn't know if it was her turn or not to eat, but she was famished. Standing up, she trotted over to the food pile and took a rabbit, making sure not to eat Blossom. She still felt very sad seeing her there after Clover had told Crystal about the bear.

After Emira finished her meal, she got to work on digging out more space in her den. It was an exceptionally slow process, but she wasn't in a hurry. After all, she was only able to use the paw on her front right leg to an extent. Once she was done, the fur on her face was coated with dark dirt and her legs entirely filthy. She didn't care what the other coyotes said once they saw her appearance, she was simply too worn out and tired to worry. Emira slumped to the ground, satisfied with the work she had done. Now up to three coyotes were able to fit comfortably in her den. She thought about Crystal and Morrigan, wondering what they were up to as she was lulled into a gentle sleep.
