Amber rolled her eyes. "My adoptive mother, you could say. She took care of me after I was-" Amber hesitated, not wanting to scare Jasper away with her past. "After I left my old pack." Amber smiled. "But, seriously, what if someone by the name Amber asked you to be their mate?"

"Ah," Jasper said to the first statement, fully understanding. Then to the second, "Hmm, let me think..." he said softly as he stepped toward her, "Yes Amber," he whispered in her ear and licked her chin.
