Crystal marched up a mountain angrily. Amber wouldn’t talk to her anymore, and Amber’s mate seemed to hate her. She felt hurt. After all she did for Amber... this is how she’d be treated? Crystal let out a howl of frustration. Suddenly, she heard a loud, rumbling sound overhead. Looking up, Crystal felt her blood run cold as she saw an avalanche of rocks coming down the mountainside directly towards her. Rockslide, Crystal thought with terror. She tried to leap to the side to avoid it, but a large rock caught her legs, trapping her and filling her with pain. I doubt they’ll ever work again, Crystal thought sadly before a rock hit her in the head. Slowly, the world faded away and Crystal lay broken, unconscious, and alone.
