Ruby raced alongside Kiro, "Some black coyotes were chasing Scar!" She explained as they ran, "Angel and Loula are already far ahead of us!"

Kiro was surprised how such a peaceful day could change so suddenly, but he nodded with a fiery determination. "Are we chasing these coyotes off?" He asked

"Yes, at least... I think so." She replied, still running at top speed. "If we join, that makes 4 of us. Plus Scar... so that's.....5." She paused for a breath, "I'm pretty sure there are 7 black coyotes....at least, that's what someone said."

Kiro nodded. ”Do we know what pack?”

"I don't, but I bet Scar does. He must have some plan in his fur...." she trailed off, trying to think.

Scar watched as the moon coyotes eyes widened, realizing where they were and looking around in fear, he used this time to crawl away and hide in a crevice in the cliff Wall. He new the coyotes that lived here wouldn't be happy with intruders and hoped none of the coyotes from his pack followed him in .

Suddenly Ruby thought of something. "I bet Scar went to the Blood Coyote Pack." she said, "that's the way he was heading and probably his only escape.... maybe we shouldn't follow."
