I went to the coop this morning to tend the flock and there was a hen calmly sitting in one of the nest boxes. I had set up lighting on a timer three days ago and placed golf balls in the nests two days ago. This morning, under the hen that was in the nest, was the prettiest brown pullet egg you ever saw. Finally, after 21 long weeks we have an egg. It looks perfect, hard shell and all. I have to get ready for work now but will add a photo this afternoon.
