Ok…first of all, don’t buy silkies from Hoover because they don’t seem to be at all “correct”. Granted, I impulse bought 4 chicks from my local Runnings and I only want them as pets, but c’mon…
At six weeks…Three are mostly silkie-like. One has four toes, two have straight combs coming in, one has a white beak and some white skin on its feet.
Then there’s this baby in the photos…what is going on here? 🤣 Did a Cochin sneak in her lineage somewhere? Four toes, brown eyes, all her energy seems to be going into growing her leg feathers instead of her tail.
Anyway, I can’t wait to see how she looks when grown up….should be interesting.

Update us with pics of how he/she looks now 😊

Photo taken today! This baby is front left and this "she" turned out to be a little MAN along with his three brooder mates :eek:But I live in the country and they have a forever home here...they are all fluffy, adorable, and sweet (to people if not always to each other) :love
