Hoover's Blue Australorps?

I didn't know if whatever was used to introduce the blue coloration had brought any other characteristics along with the color. The ones I have are vigorously healthy and growing fast. :)

I'm considering possible roosters for my flock and they could be on the list.
Most breeders use blue orpingtons, since orpingtons and Australorps are closely related breeds. It takes several generations of breeding the cross back to purebred Australorps before you truly have only blue Australorps without the Orpington characteristics

Could those possibly be Hoover’s Sapphire Gems? I don’t see Blue Australorps on their website. I would definitely be interested in one, if they ever appeared in my Tractor Supply (they use Hoover)!!
I know this is a very old thread but I just bought some blue austlorps 2 months ago from TSC. Ill post pictures of her after class.

I made an error in the beginning. My Blue Australorps are from Welp and I love them so much I have more ordered for June.
Mine are supposed to be ready for pickup in June too! Coming from Chick Depot, about 2 hours' drive from me. I am so freaking excited! How many are you getting? Pullets? Straight run?

I ordered five pullets. One will be named May, in honor and memory of @azygous' girl who just passed. She was the subject of a long thread that made me smile with joy, and cry with sorrow.

I'm getting 5 more pullets and 5 straight run in hope of getting a couple roosters so that I can have a choice of potential flock masters.
