Hoovers Hatchery

Anyone have any experience with the Dominique chickens from this hatchery? I have heard that some hatchery's cross the doms with barred rocks. We were thinking of having our Rural King order some doms if they were any good. I just found out Tractor supply and Rural king uses this hatchery in my area. What we are looking for is something that would be great for year round laying (especially winter) that would hatch their own eggs and breed true.

I have had pretty good luck with Hoover. I just asked the employee at Rural King and she said they don't order as much from Hoover any more

I ordered 10 unsexed Dominique chicks from Hoover's through TSC. Chicks arrived well, only lost 1 a few days after shipping, pretty even split males to females. But they are only 4 weeks old now, so I will wait and see how they lay.
