Hoover's Hatchery?????

Does anyone know anything about Hoover Hatchery?
The prices were very cheap, but i was looking at the weights of the chickens that they sell and they are all 4-5 pounds LIGHTER than other hatcheries say they weigh.
Has anyone ordered from them?
Are the chickens meaty like they are supposed to be?

I haven't ordered from them for a few years, but their chicks have always been really nice. The meat birds are totally worth it.

Did the standard chickens grow to their full size or did they seem kind of small once they were mature?

I only ordered egg layers and meat chickens from them. The easter eggers were big, the layers average, but consistently laid a nice sized egg consistent in color.

Do they send you an email when your chicks ship?? Mine were supposed to ship today but they never sent me anything saying that they shipped..

Glad everyone have good luck with Hoover hatchery.. Not me!! Order 70 chicks and only got 67 and 3 DOA! Second day 13 dies.. All in all I lost 20 chicks in three days.

I ordered from Hoover's for the first time a couple years ago and all the chicks were really great! They were vigorous and turned out to be wonderful laying hens. However, I ordered chicks from them again last month, and of the 25 that were ordered, only 3 are alive today! The rest just died off day after day (8 were DOA). I don't know what was wrong with this batch, but I suspect ordering them in January is not the best idea. I guess most of them got chilled during shipment.
