Lighting can definitely be deceiving! Glad you have what you bought, then. I still think it is a pullet despite the lighter overall coloring.

I also don't think the barred bird is a cuckoo Marans. It has yellow legs and beak, so probably a barred rock.

Agree, not a cuckoo Marans but a barred rock. From what I can tell at this point and time they all look like pullets.
