We are hoping these chicks we just picked up yesterday that are between 5 and 7 weeks are barred rocks, but I'm not completely sure. We don't want to have all roosters, we want some eggs. We got 5 unidentified, shop said they bought black australorp from hatchery, but isn't what they received. And we got 1 new Hampshire red. Here is one of the chicks.

They are all the same bird, I have 6 of them, they are all very dark. But I do belive this one maybe a male. Comb is getting very red and others not so much. But has some pointy tail feathers. I'll post a picture of each in the morning for sexing.

I tried to get better pictures, but I'm leaning all male, including the new hampshire. Saddle feathers are rounded but tail feathers are growing in long and pointy. I think I got black sex links, they sell those there as well.

Oops forgot to load the one picture I could get. The new hampshire is very flighty.
