Hoping this is a hen not a rooster? Any answers

    It's a barred rock I got a couple months ago at a chicken auction... I got 4 barred rocks and come to find out 2 of them are roosters but I'm hoping this one isn't! [​IMG]

    How old is the chicken, because if it is pretty young, it might be a roo.

    I'm not sure on how hold he/she is we got it about 2 months ago from a chicken auction and it hasn't grown a lot since then

    Might not be, but I'm not sure. Could be a good chance it is.

    hoping it isn't because the last thing we need is 4 roosters and only 6 hens!!

    I see long, thin, pointed saddle feathers. It's a boy.

    I enlarged your pic and the difference is clear.
    Your darker BR behind him is a girl.
    Do you see that he's lighter in color than your girls?
    See near his tail, he is developing pointy saddle feathers?
    He is handsome and is still young.
