Black Copper Marans rooster bred to the French Standard as he has feathered shanks (legs). Cuckoo Marans may have white legs, but Black Copper Marans do not.

I’m not great at tellingly chicken breeds however, I know that Jersey Giants have black legs. Although Jersey Giants and huge. Are you sure he is purebred?

He is good-looking, so we named him Handsome. I am pretty sure he is a mix, but with what I don't know. He is not giant. He is roughly the same size as our silver laced wyandotte, just taller.

Marans are large birds. I see nothing to indicate he isn't purebred.
