Hoping to raise a flock :) In Edisto Island, SC

I am new to all of this. I bought a couple books and am hoping to raise a flock of brahma's, delaware's, orpington's, or wyandottes. (Whatever I can manage to find around here), I would also like to get a few guinea hens for fire ant control. I love this site. I am learning a lot and have a ton more to go.

Edisto Island!!! I LOVE that place!!!! We vacation there, and are planning on going back next January. It is my fantasy to live there - there is nowhere on Earth like it (at least that I've ever been to).
