I chop all my scapes and freeze them in one large ziploc bag. Just pull off a corner if I want them for omelets, in a dish, etc. I do can and have dehydrated, but scapes come at the end of the school year, super busy as a teacher, so the freezer is easiest for me in June! Lol
Do you blanch them before freezing?

My husband and I picked all the cherries off of our two bushes, it wasn't much. About a gallon and a half of cherries.
I bought a simple pitting machine from LEM, and it made very quick work out of a normally tedious job. I was very pleasantly surprised.

USPS finally delivered my new 5-10-15# jiggler weight and stem for my old canner. I had to use teflon tape on the threads because the new stem has straight threads, not the tapered NPT threads as it should have been. It fits tight now so it'll work and I don't have to rely on the possibly-out-of-calibration pressure gauge. The upgrade was worth the $10 for sure. Maybe I'll get those kale greens canned now.

It works well to put watermelon in the dehydrator. Faster than apples, cherries, grapes, blueberries, bananas, zucchini, peppers or tomatoes. I was surprised because I thought the high water content would be a problem. Evidently the lack of a skin makes a huge difference (duh, in hindsight) as does the different cell structure, maybe.

We never have leftover watermelon! lol
