Hi all! My fiancé and I just picked these 4 up last Sunday. There are 2 blue Plymouth rocks and one white Plymouth Rock. We also have a red sex link. I’m hoping we have all pullets but being new to the game I’m not too sure. I can post better pics if needed. Thanks for your help!

They are all girls. The Red Sex Link looks more like a Rhode Island Red to me though.
Yay!! Thank you. The only one I was worried about was the darker grey. They sold it to us as a sex link, but I’ll look up the differences. Thank you. We also have a Rhode Island Red hen, a barred rock hen and an Easter egger that are already laying. We sure are loving them. 😊

I agree. My 9 week old flock came with a Rhode Island Red and a Gold Comet (Red Sex Link by another name) at a day old...our RIR is more red like this one, while the sex link is more orange. Pic with chicks in the pot, you can see our gold comet. Second pic is my RIR looking at the camera (pop socket has a mirror and they love it) with the comet’s fluffy end in the background.

Red Sexlinks usually have some white feathers in their tail and around their neck, and sometimes elsewhere on their bodies. Rhode Island Reds often have black feathers in those places, or else they are red all over.

(It is possible to breed red sexlinks without the white feathers, but it is not common.)
