Hopping Rooster....

My 9 week old rooster (bought the cockerel thinking it was a pullet at 4 wks old) is timid to us, yet when i let him and the other 4 pullets roam in their run, he gets very feisty and starts hopping around them...is this just dominance behavior?? In the coop he is more laidback..

My roosters did the same. And they loved mating with the hens then too. Maybe being outside brings out the "rooster" in them LOL
