I’m just having a terrible time with this clutch of eggs.

I didn’t realize I installed the egg turner upside down, figured that out on day 2. Then, I fixed it. On Day 3 I was like I don’t think they are turning still. Realized some of the eggs are too big for the egg turner. I started turning them manually.

Then my husband reminded me I have the other incubator for duck eggs because I had planned ahead for this I just forgot.

So I get that one set up and gently move them over after it was stable to temp and humidity.

Then my toddler decided he wanted to look inside and shook it about and tipped it over.

I think only one cracked.

But , honestly, at this rate if even just one hatches at this rate it will be a miracle. Feeling pretty upset.

:hugs Hoping the rest of the incubation goes more smoothly for you! I tend to find something to stress about, even when things are going perfectly. I can just imagine how stressful these mishaps have been for you.
Yeah I have been having the hardest time. I told myself not to mess with them at all until day 14 to candle for progress! It was a hard wait!

I borrowed an nr360 for my first two hatches, was trying to juryrig the chicken turner for quail, nothing worked and ended up with too many eggs to fit anyway so just hand turned, also candled daily (couldn’t wait!). I broke two but even with all that and being shipped eggs, had a decent hatch. Eggs can be amazingly hardy!

It’s amazing how hardy they can be! That’s awesome
