no positive update.
shes still not back, and i am panicing.

i couldnt get any sleep last night because i was so worried. i sat by the window all the night waiting for her.

and she cant come back with chicks. i dont have a roo.

im still crossing my fingers and praying that she comes back.
i dont know what would have spooked her. the dogs are out there with the girls 24hours a day, so they wouldnt let anything in the yard.

i dont knowwww but i feel like my insides are ripping apart.

no, my dogs wouldnt let anyone in the yard.

and my neighbors love them... but from afar.


maybe a cat or something got her. i know shes able to jump out of the yard, but she never went more than like 10 feet away from the fence.

so maybe she did that, and a cat got her.

i am soo sorry! i hope she comes back. our chickens are still babies, but i am worried also, they keep trying to find a way to explorer their new world outside the cage, so whenever we carry them around, they love it! i am afraid, once they are in the coop, they find a way out, and our dogs are bird dogs and have discovered what theses little creatures are...

well i hope she returns!

Even though I hope for the best, most predators take light coloured birds because they contrast the best with their backgrounds, making them easier to see.

I hope she comes back soon! She doesn't understand that her eggs aren't fertile so maybe she is setting on a nest in the woods.

i dont live near woods. im in a suburban area. the only predators i have are cats, neighbor dogs, and maybe a raccoon.

and no forest to hide in.
ive been racking my brain thinking of anything else, but im completely lost.

and if a predator got her, wouldnt there be signs of a struggle: feathers, noise, etc? i have no ideaaaa

i just miss her and want her home.
