horse feed?

My flock has taken a liking to horse feed over the last few days. Is it safe for them or do I need to find a way to keep them out of it?

I give mine sweet 16, they love it, I can't think of any reason they can't eat it.

Chickens are omnivores, so a little bit of everything doesn't seem to hurt them, mine get so many different things, I figure they know what they're doing.

Good, dog food is better for chickens than it is for dogs but the very best chicken food is fresh cow patties.

It won't hurt them but it lacks some of the amino acids they require so it should not be a sole ration...

That's good to know as well. They enjoy that as well as horse manure as an evening snack.

When I post that chickens are omnivores that is what i mean, they'll literally try to eat anything, your painted toe nails included.

Horse feed won't hurt chickens, it just doesn't have the protein and calcium chickens need. My chickens love it, too!
