Absolutely! I have heard that it is an "old timers" secret to getting condition on their birds

of course you can! chickens love scratching through stuff like that!!

Ours hens are outside the stall doors waiting for our horses to be turned out everyday and free range with the horses all summer helps with insect control too!

I WISH my chickens ONLY scratched through horse manure. I've seen them in a lot worse.

lol i dont mind mine getting into pig manure, you can seen grain and corn in it so makes sense.. but when they go behide the cats and dig up theres i always chase them off, just seems more gross to me lol

Yeah its gross.

I'm afraid they will get wormy from the other types of poo they "just love" to dig in and eat.
