Horse question...

I don't want to give offense but just because you CAN have a stud or breed a horse doesn't mean you SHOULD. The market for a Belgian/"Mustang" cross is pretty much zero and there's a good chance you would be producing a horse destined for a sad end in the future. I've seen this story repeated too many times by people who mean well and truly don't know why they shouldn't do it. Check out this website: http://fuglyhorseoftheday.blogspot.com/. I would respectfully suggest that you hold off on your breeding aspirations for awhile. There are literally thousands of very nice horses being shipped to the killers on a regular basis and rescuing one of those would probably be a lot more rewarding than breeding your horses just because you have them. P.S. The mare looks lovely!

She is broke to ride, but not drive. That is something I am going to work on, I understand some of the techiniques but I need to brush up on my definitions on all things horse. It's been a looooong time since I talked a lot of horse.

The first thing I am going to do is have her feet trimmed shes been in pasture for a while. chips and splits and all that. Some light shoes wouldn't hurt her at all specially if we consider riding her. Which we are lol...
