Horse Talk

She just turned five this year. I'm probably going to wait another year, probably two, just so we can get set up for a foal and stuff. And to learn more about it.
My plan was to wait til she was rideable - and I just realized I have failed to update you guys as to how AMAZING she's doing. -_-
I swear, oi have NEVER met a horse who is SO CHILL with EVERYTHING! I've been working her with the saddle and bridle for about twp weeks now, and she's doing AMAZING. I've been halfway on her (standing with one foot in the stirrup, leaning over the saddle), and haven't gotten a spook out of her once. I'm really happywith her. :D

I was just looking around mostly. Usually people cross Arabians to get a horse with some energy, but with more substance - or to give a foal more "cow sense" - something not all Arabs have.

:th Look it this boy. BASK IN HIS GLORY. :love :love Desperados Majik. :love

Just found him and figured I'd show y'all. ;) Mom and dad are pretty dead set on breeding her to a QH, but... I like rare things. Things that not everybody has - and if everybody is super excited About something or its become a huge trend, (*cough* Fidget spinners) I don't get as excited about it. :/ I'm just... Me  :p

I'm looking for half Arabian studs right now.... But I'm in NO RUSH. XD
That's great! And sounds like a good plan! And holy moly, this one has my vote! :drool

The babies yesterday. I think I have a thousand pictures of Jasmine trotting and loping but she's just so preeeettttyy

She's such a sweet girl. Her biggest "fear" (really more of a "seriously, WHY do I have to do this") is probably the bit.... Then baths. She HATES getting wet - but since its gonna be 90+ all week, I'm soaking all of them every day. XD
I KNOW RIGHT. :love :love :love
" but she's got that issue with her tail being set too low, we shouldn't breed her with another Arabian Zel."
IM NOT DOING HALTER WITH HER MOM, IM RIDING HER. HOPEFULLY I can find someone who knows a thing or two about western dressage.... Cuz she's too clutzy to be a barrel racer

Kusanar, is the daughter of the manager you spoke with involved with horses? Take lessons? If not, why not use the opportunity as a teachable moment and have a chat with him about the pros and cons of horse ownership?

I think she's like 5 or 6 isn't she?

Ohhh that makes more sense lol

I have no idea. The manager in question is a jerk that seems to know everything about everything when he clearly doesn't. I have to deal with him enough on work related stuff, I don't really want to deal with him on a personal level. I know that's probably selfish of me, and there is a chance it will all go wrong, but I don't need to deal with that out of him.

Hi everyone, I just found this thread and was really enthused to find an active horse thread. I have 2 horses, a 3 year old AQHA Two Id Jack bred gelding and a 7 year old Arabian/paint mare.
I'm very much in love with that stallion!!! He's gorgeous! Id like to breed my Paint/Arabian mare in the next couple years if I can find a stud I really like. My girl is Khemosabi bred on the top; Khartoon Khlassic is her sire.
