Horse Talk

Omg I just looked them up. They're so fat I looooove them. Could you imagine riding one bareback? They're so think you wouldn't even be able to fall off
I KNOW RIGHT!!!! From what I remember, they're one of the only breeds of drafts that were breed just for farming, and not to be a war horse or anything. I bet they have super bumpy gaits

That's cool and I hadn't realized the other breeds were bred for war. Wouldn't they be slow? Being so big? But I guess they were probably some of the only horses that could carry all the gear lol

Mostly breeds like Clyde's and shires were war horses. Not sure about Belgians though. Freisians were war steeds too.

Haha thank goodness they're huge and cold blooded, I wouldn't want to do anything but walk on one.
I'd say trailride, but your head would probably hit the tree branches

Big drafters, particularly English Shires, Clydesdales, and Percherons can be very athletic. Some of them can jump fairly well as I found out when my Percheron mare cleared the pasture fence without really trying. Occasionally Percherons are even used in dressage.

I've seen some Percherons do dressage. Adds even more to the beauty and gracefulness of the sport!

I don't know why I'm suprised... if Derby had ever made some sort of effort, I bet she could have jumped our fence
