She was eating an apple when she saw the man come back, she froze for a minute and looked into his eyes, feeling.... a connection.
The man slowly walked closer to her, and then gently touched her muzzle, "Hi pretty girl" he said, "you want an apple?"
He handed her an apple and she took it then ran off.
"Bye..." he said solemnly.
She would come back to him

Shadow watched on as this happened and wondered why she had done that , humans were not our friends.., or his anyway . Shadow ran back to camp and settled in for the night .

he sounds like the pegasus, Star, from the guardian herd series)
I started that series once. Is it good or not worth it? I might pick it up again over the long and dull winter.

(Yay! I don't know what that series is, but maybe I'll check it out. :) (While I spend a good bit of my time in a book and I love reading, I usually read books like Extraordinary Birds, Watership Down, Where the Red Fern Grows, and Out of My Mind. But I'll see what that series is. ))
I love Where The Red Fern Grows! Sounds like the other books are good too! What is Extraordinary Birds about?
Also, if you like books with rabbits may I recommend The Green Ember series, it is completely clean. Family favorite!

(I read The Green Ember! It’s really good. :) Extraordinary Birds is 8+, so maybe for younger readers, but I still really enjoy it. It’s about a girl named December who is under foster care. (I’m not going to spoil anything) and believes that one day she’ll sprout wings and fly away. From her harsh past and be free. It’s full of so much hope. I really like it. )
