My canvas finally arrived yesterday so I got it sanded and primed right away! The gesso has just finished curing for 24 hours and now I am sketching my lines before I start painting! I used gray gesso this time so I can hopefully get some good shading depth. I am painting Drago and I’m thinking about a nice fall mountain background

Finished up the sky! Yesterday and this morning. Ignore the mountain lines. I specifically painted over them a little so when I paint the mountains it will be a seamless sky to mountain transition.

I’m so sad Cici goes back beginning of September I feel like I’m starting to really bond with her now she kept nickering at me today when I came over to her stall. The other day when I unsnapped the cross ties she rubbed her head all over me I’m guessing she just had an itch but it was pretty funny! I had to brace my feet so I wouldn’t get knocked over!
