Reason I ask is I am certain that someone used Max's good nature when training him and flooded him to the point of abuse. He is afraid of flags and lunge whips, but weirdly doesn't react at all when I try to use them. He ignores it and just stands in the corner of the roundpen, tense and scared. To be clear, I have never used them to hit him. I wiggle the lunge whip behind him, and the flag just makes noise. They are what we use for the others, and they understand what it means. It is a problem because I can't lunge now, and he's basically dead to pressure. He's slightly lighter in the saddle but is pretty much completely immune to pressure on the ground.
