So, my siblings were getting their first rides on Fancy, and my mom was leading them to make sure Fancy didn't try anything. (Fancy being able to open the arena gate and walk out, as well as when she was younger, bucking off those she didn't like.) Once my mom thought they were situated on top and ready, she started walking Fancy forward. Everything went well for the older sibling, but the younger was nervous. Fancy could of course sense this, and even though my mom had asked if they were ready and the response was yes, Fancy knew they weren't sure, and when my mom tried to get Fancy to start walking, she planted her feet and wouldn't move. She ignored my mom, and wouldn't move a muscle until she felt that my sibling was ready to move forward, and then started off on her own, very gently and quietly. She did not try to open the gate or speed up, like she did with me, before she retired. It was quite funny seeing and realizing just how differently she acts with different people.
