I got my horse a new halter yesterday.

My sweet mare Daffy. She's 23 years old and has hauled my butt all over Southern Oregon. Never complained, best trail horse I've ever owned. The second pic is my Sugar Monkey riding her with Amy trailing behind. Horses had been at a friends pasture for 4 months, not touched at all, and Daffy hadn't been ridden for at least a year before that. Sugar Monkey got a wild hair and asked if he could ride, I said sure. Saddled her, made reins on the halter, he climbed on. Remember, not ridden for at least a year. This is what she did, just packed him around. That's why she has a forever home with me.

Amy's a different story, though. Anyone want a one-eyed, very green broke half draft paint mare?
