Horses!!!!!!!!

Update on my foal training...!...... Getting leather gloves, got the ok to start doing the lead rope around the neck to get her used to it and to respond to pressure. Almost haltered her to day. Maybe to marrow or Friday. I can touch her any where but the head. I ran my hand down her leg she lifted it. I just learnd that I have to work her on both sides. Because on her left side she welcomes me, her right side says get away I don't know you yet. Lol. She put heruzzle through the halter. Likes being brushed. That's it for now pics coming soon.

Keep on working with the desensitizing, I guess. Get her to trust you touching her everywhere, tummy, neck, legs, and especially head if she's shy there. When you get the halter on and get to leading her try her over different surfaces: muddy stuff, paving, grass, through water, over a tarp (when she's really relaxed and following) past some blowy things, over gravel, wooden board etc. use your imagination! She should be able to trust you to lead her past and over anything and it won't hurt her. Do it in her paddock so that if she spooks she is still safe.

Ody ( Appaloosa ) and Tota my friends horse.

I also have 4 ponies :)

Apparently they got a halter on the baby.

Momma's still skinny, but not as much after being stuffed full of tall green weeds (that are pretty much completely gone now).

Those long legs get me every time!
