And the horses are far from being close to death.
Their not gonna die. The foal is in good weight and mare def needs some extra love but not so bad that they will die. I just worry about others that go by and will complain but if ya have locals and deputies involved then ya should be somewhat safe from procuration. I hope she gets better but def not good for her either. Foal looks pretty good tho.
As I said, I am in no danger of getting in trouble because of the horses. It is a VERY small town (one square mile in size) in the middle of nowhere, and the sheriff is local (the county Sheriff's Office is located here in town at the courthouse). Everyone knows everyone. Everyone knows the story. Everyone knows who the horses belong to and who is to blame for their condition. And everyone has their noses and opinions in on the matter.
I don't just sit by and watch. I tell everyone about it and tell them others need to be reporting them as well.
