I rode Cinnamon Sunday afternoon (she's about 19 I think)
first time I rode her in months. Found some bear prints, and half way back to the barn she whinnied to my mini Eli.

Would a 10×10 work good as the run in shelter/stall?

Yes it will work..... But how big is the how are you are getting? I have 10 by 10 stalls for my 14 hand high horses and they are fine they can lay down roll stretch out but it's tighter then I'd like I wish I had gone 12 by 12. But the bigger the horse the bigger the stall. If you are getting a 15 hand high or taller horse I would not go any smaller then q2 by 12. Is it a run in where it's always open so the horse can come and go as it pleases? If it's only 3 sides then 10 by 10 will be fine.

I haven't found the exact horse yet but
Around 14-16 hands
It would be 3 sided. On the open side I'm planning on putting a door or 2 on it. Like the cattle doors kinda, that way if needed or I decide to close him/her in I could. But most the time it would be open.

I'm planning on 1 acre For summer and 1 for winter
That's my idea but it depends on my parents if they even let me get one, there planning on cows in the next 5-10 years so why not a horse lol is what I'm saying

With the potential of getting a large horse and potentially closing them in for any reason I'd make it 12 by 12 at least

I've problaly asked this but, does any one have a cheap way to make it? He fence it self is going to kill me. The Horse is going to be pricy too but,
12×12 Run In Shelter with potintal to be closed.
