I bet Rosie would love to help make some bread. Ohhh, I bet the smell of fresh bread is ..oh, my mouth is watering. I'm useless in the kitchen.. if I tried to make bread- even the chickens wouldn't eat it, I'm sure
I'm sure I could mess it up, even with a machine LOL. Machine would get so mad at me abusing it with horrible recipies, it would start throwing squishy, sticky doughballs at me with perfect accuracy.
Sorry it took so long to get these posted, but Beaker has had a major weekend. It all started on Friday morning he was all packed are ready to head out to Gettysburg
The first thing he did when we got to the hotel was run up the stairs and slide down the banister.
When he saw us getting our key to the room he insisted on having one for himself (not that we ever planned on letting him out of our sight!)
One of the first things we did was head out for dinner Beaker saw that Donna was having a Blue Moon and decided he wanted to keep the empty bottle. He like the color but I did tell him that if it didnt fit in his box, he would not be able to keep it forever.
Next we were off to the Cashtown Inn a local haunt just outside of the city of Gettysburg.
Saturday morning we decided to take Beaker to the new visitors center since he has never been there.
His favorite part was the gift shop
Then, just as we were leaving he saw
THE PENNY SQUISHER!!!!!!!! So, we had to scrounge up 2 quarters and a SHINY penny so he could have one to keep for his very own
Then he left his mark at the visitors center
That was it for Saturday he was pooped and headed for a nap.
Sunday we did some quick sight-seeing, but it was very cold. Beaker was inclined to say inside the truck rather than tromping through all the snow. (We forgot his boots.) First we swung by the Jennie Wade house, but he wouldnt go in he heard it was haunted. He did like the sign though.
Then we drove around the battlefield and he saw
Saches Bridge
Devils Den
Various monuments
Little Round Top (from the bottom)
And so much more, we just couldnt capture in photos. I think he really enjoyed his time with us He met so many nice people, asking where he was from, where he was traveling to, etc. Everybody loved Beaker and his stories.
Thank you so much for allowing us to spend time with such a sweet little guy. He is now ready to move to his new host so just let me know to where to book his tickets
