Bizzy, my life has been very boring lately for a chicken. If she had played an instrument, or sang, she could have been in a concert. But, she claims she really just likes to bake things and knit. She's a bit of a homebody. Today, though, I dragged her out of the house to go for a hike at a local reservoir. Seriously, I told her what we were doing, and saw her getting ready. I made the all call to get in the truck, but realized about 5 minutes into the trip that Fancy had not gotten into the truck.
I had to go back for her, and was she ever mad!
Still, it was such a nice day that she soon forgot about that little *incident*. We arrived at Del Valle Reservoir, in Livermore, CA, and began our search for eastbaychicks. We soon found them, after we talked to everyone in the park with a weimeraner. (We were just a bit late due to the detour at the beginning of the trip.) We had a great hike, while the dogs ran and swam. (The park has an off-leash dog area. Cool!)
Here we are at the end of the hike. Everyone checked out Fancy's scrap book, and had a few pics with her. Haley, the weimeraner, really seemed to like Fancy, although we're not sure if it was Fancy's winning smile, or her meaty drumsticks.
So sorry about that Fancy. No one wants to be dinner.
Check it out.... left to right: karma and her dog, Bart, Orp and Fancy, and eastbaychicks and her dog, Haley. Haley was moving around, and making it hard for eastbaychicks to concentrate on the camera. But, we got the pic!
here's another one by my truck, so you can see eastbaychicks smiling.
