Beaker wanted to have one more trick-or-treat before celebrating Thanksgiving. He wanted to dress up to match me in my Halloween costume for the contest at work ( Whick I SHOULD have won, but didn't, and it made me mad) I went as a Christmas tree.
Beaker thought that was such a good idea.
If he was there for the Halloween contest, he definately would have won! I really wish I was as cute as Beaker...
So, when I got home from work today, I THOUGHT Beaker was not being naughty. Boy, did I thought wrong.
I have, over the years, been trying to collect toys from when I was young. If I ever have grandkids, it would be cool for them. Recently, I got a wizzzer off ebay.
Beaker was having fun with it.
I didn't even mind that he was chasing the cat with it. Beaker squealed, and I looked toward him.
Yup, just like every child who had a wizzzer, he got it caught in his hair.
Beaker wanted to celebrate Thanksgving, but was very disappointed to see the turkey.
He really was disappointed that the turkey was "all eated up". Poor Beaker moped around for a little bit, then I could almost see the lightbulb go off over his head. As I watched quietly, he pulled the big pot out of the cabinet and dragged it close to the door. He then went outside.
" This will be perfect" , I heard him say.
He pushed it off the porch. I continued to watch quietly, peeking out the door so he wouldn't see me. He surrounded himself with watermelon pieces.
I couldn't even begin to imagine what he was up to now. Then he started grinning, and it was a mischevious grin.
He grinned even more, and I could tell he could hardly contain himself.
I was still wondering what he was up to. But then, as I watched him make a watermelon trail, I started to catch on.
"BEAKER!! You are NOT going to lead those girls into that pot."
Beaker mumbled and mumbled and grumbled and kicked dirt. Just as quickly, his eyes lit up again, and he ran into the house. His new idea was foiled, though. He had wanted to take the turkey wings, and glue feathers on them, and use them to fly. But Mr Bizzy had just put the wings into a pot to make turkey and dumplings.
I helped Beaker dress up.
We told stories of the first Thanksgiving, and started talking about what we were thankful for. Beaker said he'd be more thankful if he had a full turkey, or some wings.

No, no - the rocket was Oliver the cats plan to make Beaker fly. Beakers last attempt to fly was off my roof- and resulted in donuts and ice cream sundaes. You know Beaker- he doesn't give up!!
