Roscoe and Rosie popped right out of their traveling compartment to greet me -

They were a little dizzy after their travels, so they sat down for a little bit and we introduced ourselves. It's so cute how Roscoe takes care of Rosie. He held her for their entire trip! Roscoe suggested seatbelts for the CTC and thier next trip.

While we were sitting chatting, Roscoe noticed my indoor chickens. He had to meet them and take a pic with his new friends. The Painted Ladies were soooooo happy to meet Roscoe and Rosie.

We escaped the PLadies, after listening to them cackle for a while, and went outside.

After the stuffy air in the CTC Roscoe and Rosie enjoyed fresh air!

They said hello to Hidey the hiding chicken -

Floated in the pond -

I think I'll find them floating in the pond a lot. I said it was OK, as long as they always used a boat and life jackets. Roscoe whispered to me, "Rosie doesn't know how to swim, so you better watch her. But I'm an egg-celent swimmer!"

Next we picked strawberries or as Rosie calls them "tummy berries". 'Cause they taste good in your tummy.

Roscoe wanted to help me in the garden. He was looking for catapillars, to give to The Ladies (my outdoor chickens),but we didn't find any.

We did, however, lose Rosie!!!!
Where is she?
Where did she go!


Ah ha! We found her -

Next we went to see the hens and collect the egg rent from them.......................................

First we collected THE EGG.
Roscoe asked "Why is there only one egg? How do the other Ladies pay their rent?"
I explained that they pay with cuddles and by being sweet and cute.

Then we went to visit the Ladies (and I guess a few "gentleman" silkies

)

At first Rosie was a little shy. There were too many new beaks.

Everyone took a turn saying Hi. Dixie was the friendliest.

Roise was a little braver.

They gathered around to hear Roscoe tell stories about his travels. The Ladies were jealous - they've never been on a trip.

Roscoe liked Pepper's mohawk. They talked about feather styles for a while. Roscoe is wants to grow his feathers out now and get a mohawk too.

Then it was time for bed.

Rosie is a little sad, she misses Celeste. Did Celeste have a special bedtime song for Rosie or something that she said to her each night?

Roscoe misses everyone! He told me everone that he misses and it was a long, long list.

They both send big kisses and hugs to everyone!

I was checking the sky tonignt for Beaker. Not here yet. He's on the coast to coast trip. Probably stopping at every welcome center for every state they enter, picking up maps and coupons. Anyway I'm waiting patiently.

Hi mkmouse! Have you been tracking him? It was a long trip from CA to NJ.

I just looked up Beaker's tracking number, and it says they tried to deliver him this morning at 10:45am. I'm guessing that was local time. You have to either pick him up, or arrange for them to try again.
