Then Beaker wanted to try his wings at surfing, first we had to take him to the surf shop.

Once we found the right board off we went again,

This is my most favorite photo of Beaker I've taken this adventure. Surf's up dude.

And if that wasn't enough Beaker saw the Barnegat Lighthouse. Of course we had to climb all 215 steps to the top.

After all this egg-citement we took Beaker out to dinner at the Chicken or the Egg.

That's where we gave Beaker a suprise going away party.

Gave him a new party hat.

Then it was all down hill from there.

Ohh, .. a book.. BYC Mascots guide to travelling...
I got it!! It can be called.. Adventures of a Stuffed Duck!

He started his life on a shelf at Walmart, staring at the crowds of people going by. He tried hard to use his powers of pursuasion to make someone take him home. No one did.
He had to suffer the embarassment of being put on the clearance shelf. Clearance shelf wasn't for cute little ducks. The clearance shelf was for unwanted items. Surely the duck wasn't unwanted?
He thought he would die of humiliation when she came along. The woman who not only saved his life, but would turn him into a very popular and well-known duck.
She picked him up, and was smiling so big! She said " Wow, someone put these on clearance by mistake, I'm sure". That made the duck feel better. He knew he was better than that.
The woman ooohhh'd and ahhhh'd and was so thrilled to have found him. She took him and his brother and sister home with her.

I aploigize for the delay. I have been having computer issues at home

So I was finally able to get some of our latest photos uploaded.

Here is Fancy's 4th of July evening with us. We went to the local Country Club for the 7th annual BBQ and Fireworks. It was cool and had been raining a bit off and on. So Ms Fancy was wearing a rain ponco for a bit. Here she is with DH while I went to go get my plate.


Boy Ms Fancy sure has a great way with babies, here she gives a kiss to Isabella.


She gets Nadita to laugh and giggle


We visted with lots of folks and had lots of good eats, and of course Ms Fancy had to have a sweet treat to eat while we watched the Fireworks.


Here is just some of the hour long fireworks show we all enjoyed

Isabella had to give Ms Fancy a Good Bye before we headed home.


That was our 4th of July this year , DH and I also wore our hoodies as it was the chillyest 4th I remember. bbrrr

Next installment will be a Family BBQ at Dad's the 5th and our 1st trip out in DH's boat.

Beaker has arrived in North Carolina!!

Boy was he hungary when we openned his box...oops....pod!!

He jumped right in there trying to get the food with the rest of the gang. The black one is Star the nonsense, the calico is Sassy the cat and the white blur is Ginger the toy poodle. Beaker fit right in. Tomorrow he will go exploring outside and visit all the chickens, quail and turkeys!

oops... forgot to say he would visit Twinkie the bunny, she is new to our house.
