Well, we have a problem. The search and rescue puppy has disappeared. I hired SIX other dogs, but the first one hired decided he wanted to find the puppy, not Beaker. The second one wants to find the first, and so on. I have some suspicions, as I noticed they all took swim trunks, suntan oil and sunglasses.
So, Beaker is not to be found. And once again, someone is holding on to the mascots. The first round of mascots, there was so much excitement Scrambled Egg had to purchase more and more mascots. Yes, she purchased them- paid to ship them to someone who was excited to receive them. Out of her own pocket. There was/is no mascot fund. There was Wally, Henry, Tina the Turkey, Fancy Frizzle, Popper, Pippi, Beaker, Howard the duck, Hippy Jim, Commander Fowl, Chuck the international chicken, Rusty roo. Thats TWELVE mascots. Just shipping them out cost Scrambled Egg close to a hundred dollars. Thats not even counting the cost of purchasing them.
I think we could all agree that means they belong to her.
Then Scrambled Egg stepped down, because too many people were not being fair. In fact, they were being downright thoughtless.
So, WeGotChickens and babyMakes5 took on the responsibility of being the mascot leader. And they purchased Roscoe and Adelaide& Peepers.
Why is that? There were 10 mascots out and about ( Popper became an oil tycoon, and tina turkey got into a bar fight) I'm not sure why anyone had to purchase more mascots.
I'm just highly disappointed. I don't understand how someone can hold on to something that is not theirs, and not share with the very forum that shared with them. No excuses- if you still have the mascot, and something came up, you could at least have the decency to be honest. Not leave everyone wondering. That little mascot staring at you should be enough to remind you of the responsibility you have s a fellow forum member, and as a decent human.
Once again, the interest in the mascots has died, thanks to a dozen people. Most people were awesome hosts.
These mascots, and their adventures and journals are part of BYC history. I think those who still have one ought to just do the right thing, and get it back to it's rightful owner. The mascots brought joy and laughter to many people. And those 12 people have killed it. Mascot murderers. May you step in broody poo every day of your life.
