i have a total of five fans going.and the chickens are still panting.and their runs are shaded.i probably could put ac in their coops for what its costing me to run fans 24/7.so what are you doing to keep your chickens cool.

I freeze jugs with water in them and place them in front of the fans and all over the run and coop, I make sure they have cold water by added ice to it(big blocks of ice). I make sure they have dirt to scratch divets out of to cool off in

i did the frozen water jugs last summer,until our frezzer played out.i give them freshwater in the morning when i feed them.than when i get home from work at 6:30 will refesh their water.
