Hot Ducks- what can I do?

If you dont need to re-use the containers maybe drill some good sized holes in the sides for increased airflow. You could also wrap some cold packs in a towel and put it at one end.

My ducklings are 6 weeks and have most of their feathers. They have a pool in the backyard to swim in whenever they are outside so you might not have to wait too much longer.

We have figured out a spot to let them hang out- outside. It can still be scaled by the neighbor cat but they will have room to move. It's about 35 feet from their coop door- so getting them over there will be awkward. But once there they can hang out. Someone will be working on the coop so they will have some supervision. Hopefully they like that. Tonight they will spend their first night in their house- I think they will like it.

These were bought specifically for brooders. I have 8 babies coming this week and I will have hubby drill some holes in them- that's a great idea! Thank you!
